perfection

You know what's perfect?

Death is perfect.
Sickness is perfect.

Death and sickness will always happen. There is nothing you can do to avoid or predict them.

"There is something to be learned from a rainstorm. When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road. But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet. When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you will still get the same soaking."

-Yamamoto Tsunetomo

You, and me, and everyone else, we're not perfect. We can never be perfect, because we're part of Nature, and Nature is not perfect. But Nature's imperfection is in such a great balance with its perfection that one cannot exist without the other - that balance is perfect.

Out of balance, life.
Out of life, death.
Out of death, balance.

The most cyclical of all relationships. No need for God(s).

do that first

"Settle yourself before you settle your life."
